Large connectors, tall components and irregularly shaped parts can require a different handling approach from standard chip placement. The ASM SIPLACE Twin Head module (P/N 03033628) uses a twin-head pick-and-place arrangement to handle components that may not suit conventional high-speed multi-nozzle heads. Depending on the component, pickup can be performed with a vacuum nozzle or a dedicated gripper.
Force-controlled placement, component sensing and 3D measurement support more controlled handling of parts with demanding seating or alignment requirements. For replacement sourcing, confirm the part number and compatibility with the installed SIPLACE platform before ordering.
