Keeping an older SIPLACE line running often depends on finding the correct generation of head rather than adapting a newer one. The SIPLACE RV12 is a 12-spindle placement head used on legacy equipment such as the S23 HM, where the machine was originally configured around the RV12 head architecture.
If pickup becomes inconsistent or one head begins producing repeated head-related faults, the RV12 assembly is one of the areas maintenance teams may need to inspect. Having a correctly identified spare can also reduce the time spent searching for a legacy head after the production unit has already been removed for repair.
Spindle count alone is not enough for selection. Another 12-position SIPLACE head may belong to a different machine generation and should not be treated as an RV12 substitute without confirming the installed machine and head.
