ASM SIPLACE 88mm X SmartFeeder, P/N 00141398, carries built-in splice sensing hardware for SIPLACE X placement platforms.
Tape joints get detected as the carrier tape feeds through the feeder path. Once a splice passes the sensing zone, signals transmit to the placement unit to flag the joint position, lowering the chance of component pick failures and waste.
This 88mm feeder accommodates wide carrier tape for bulky SMD parts. Power and data transfer run contact-free, allowing operators to swap feeders while the line remains running. Built-in ID tags log feeder activity across production batches.
