Used Siemens SIPLACE X2 for legacy line replacement and expansion, with head configuration, conveyor, feeder and machine-condition review.
The Siemens SIPLACE X2 is the two-gantry model in the original SIPLACE X Series. For factories already operating this platform, a used X2 is most relevant when the production goal is to replace an existing machine, add compatible placement capacity, or continue using an established feeder and line environment without changing the complete SMT platform.
With two C&P20 heads, the X2 reaches up to 49,000 CPH under the original SIPLACE benchmark. The 62,000 CPH figure sometimes associated with this model is a theoretical maximum and should not be treated as normal production output. Other head combinations trade some placement speed for a broader component range, which is why the exact two-head setup matters when selecting a used machine.
For a replacement project, we would first compare the available X2 with the machine already running in the factory. Head type, feeder-table system and conveyor arrangement can affect how easily the replacement fits into the existing line. A machine with a lower headline speed may be the better purchase if its hardware is already compatible with the buyer's products and installed equipment.

| Conveyor Mode | Single conveyor or flexible dual conveyor |
The placement figures above are reference ratings for defined head combinations. On an available used X2, the installed heads determine which performance figure is relevant.
On the X2, the two placement heads define whether the machine is primarily a high-speed chip placer or a more flexible mixed-component mounter. This is one of the first configuration details we would compare between used X2 offers.
| Head Combination | SIPLACE Benchmark | Production Fit |
|---|---|---|
| C&P20 + C&P20 | Up to 49,000 CPH | Highest X2 output for boards dominated by small standard components |
| C&P20 + C&P12 | Up to 38,500 CPH | High-speed chip placement with additional IC capability |
| C&P20 + C&P6 | Up to 34,300 CPH | Small-component output with more flexibility for larger packages |
| C&P20 + TwinHead | Up to 29,500 CPH | Chip placement combined with fine-pitch, heavy or special-component capability |
For a factory buying the X2 as a replacement machine, matching the required head combination can be more valuable than selecting another unit only because its advertised CPH is higher.
A used SIPLACE X2 is primarily a compatibility and production-fit purchase: two correctly selected heads should cover the required component mix and cycle time while fitting naturally into the existing X-Series line.
