Product Overview

When small-component placement is the main limit on line output, a used E by SIPLACE CP14 can be a practical way to add more placement capacity without moving to a completely different platform. We can provide CP14 machines with different conveyor, component-table, feeder and software configurations, so the available unit can be matched to the actual PCB and production requirement.

The CP14 uses a 14-segment Collect & Place head rated at up to 45,300 CPH. Its published component range is approximately 01005 (about 0.4 × 0.2 mm) to 6 × 6 mm, with a maximum component height of about 4 mm. This makes it well suited to boards with a high number of resistors, capacitors, small semiconductors and other compatible tape-fed components.

The E by SIPLACE platform also provides up to 120 feeder positions based on standard 8 mm feeder width when two component tables are installed. For factories running several small-component-heavy products, this gives enough material capacity to keep more part numbers prepared and supports faster changeover between production runs. Existing E by SIPLACE users may also find the CP14 practical for capacity expansion or machine replacement within the same platform.

The CP14 is strongest when most placements stay within its small-component range and chip-placement speed is the real bottleneck. It is less suitable when the BOM contains many medium-sized ICs or taller components that must be placed by another machine. Published CPH and accuracy figures are OEM references; actual performance on a used unit depends on head condition, calibration, nozzles, vision, feeder pickup and the PCB program.

The main decision between the CP14 and E by SIPLACE CP12 is whether the line needs more small-component speed or broader component coverage.

The higher CP14 speed only creates value when enough of the PCB falls within its component range. If many placements must still be passed to another machine, the broader CP12 configuration may produce a better-balanced line.

For an available used CP14, the most important checks are the condition of the 14 placement segments, nozzle and vacuum performance, vision system, feeder pickup and the actual feeder package supplied with the machine. A powered-on placement test is more useful than judging the machine only by age or appearance.
